Start with a project you know
Think about a project you have completed recently. Which folders did you use every time, and which were only needed for that one job? Use the repeatable structure as the starting point for your Folder Commander template.
Keep the first version small
A useful template does not need a folder for every possibility. Begin with a few clearly named areas for the work you actually do. A smaller structure is easier to recognise and adapt.
Make it easy to recognise
Folder Commander supports folder colours and icons. Use them consistently so they help you find the same kind of information across projects.
Review it after a real project
After using the structure, note any folder you kept adding manually or never used. Refine your template around those observations before starting the next project.
