Privacy Policy

At a glance

Nextpoint keeps your scripts and reading preferences on your device. You do not need an account, and the app does not send your scripts to OPEXPER.

1. About this policy

This policy describes Nextpoint: Teleprompter for iPhone and iPad, developed and operated by OPEXPER. It covers the app’s script editor, library, text-file import and scrolling reader.

2. Information stored on your device

Nextpoint stores your current script and each saved library script as files in the app’s storage on your device. Saved entries include their title, text and a locally generated identifier. Small reading preferences remain in device settings, including text size, scrolling speed, reading theme, layout and reading-guide choices.
This information is used to save and display your scripts and restore your chosen reading settings. Word counts and estimated speaking time are calculated on your device. OPEXPER does not receive this content through the app.
Scripts may contain personal information if you choose to include it. Only enter information you are entitled to use.

3. Importing and pasting text

You can choose a .txt or .md plain text file using Apple’s file picker. Nextpoint reads the file you select and uses its filename as a suggested script title. You can review the imported text before saving it. The app does not browse or upload your other files.
If you choose a file from iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider may download the file to your device under its own privacy arrangements. This is separate from Nextpoint’s local script storage. The app does not implement its own cloud synchronisation.
Text that you choose to paste into the editor is handled as script content. Nextpoint does not read your clipboard in the background.

4. Permissions and information not collected

The current app does not require an account and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs or an AI service. It does not send script content or reading activity to an OPEXPER server.
Nextpoint does not record video or audio, perform speech recognition, or request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location or photo library.
We do not sell your script content, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.

5. Apple services and device backups

Apple separately operates the App Store and device services. Apple may process download, purchase and diagnostic information under its own terms and your device settings. Any diagnostic information made available to developers through Apple is separate from Nextpoint’s script storage.
Depending on your backup settings, local app data may be included in an iCloud or computer backup or transferred when you move to another device. OPEXPER does not operate or access those backups. Manage them through Apple or your chosen backup provider.

6. Retention and deletion

Scripts and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or remove the app’s data. Saving a changed script can create a separate library entry, so editing the current script does not erase earlier saved entries.
To delete one saved script, open Script library from the Scripts menu and swipe that entry to reveal Delete. If it is the script currently open, its open copy is also cleared. To remove the entire saved library and current script, choose Delete all scripts in Script library and confirm. Reading preferences remain until you change them or delete the app.
To remove all local Nextpoint data, use Delete App in your device settings. Offloading the app keeps its documents and data and is not the same as deletion.
Original imported files and copies in device backups remain separate. Delete those through the relevant file or backup provider if you also want them removed. Restoring a backup may restore app data. OPEXPER cannot remotely retrieve or erase scripts held only on your device.

7. Security

Nextpoint uses the app storage provided by iOS and iPadOS. Protect access to your device with a passcode and keep its operating system up to date. The app does not provide a separate password or biometric lock.
No storage method is completely secure. Keep an independent copy of important scripts; Nextpoint is not a backup service.

8. Website visits and contacting us

This policy covers the app. When you visit the OPEXPER website, its Site Privacy Policy and cookie information apply to that visit, including the website’s hosting and consent services.
For questions about this policy or requests concerning information held by OPEXPER, use the contact details in the OPEXPER Site Privacy Policy linked below. Please do not include confidential scripts unless needed to explain your concern.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or receive a copy of personal information held about you, and to restrict or object to its use. These rights depend on the circumstances.
OPEXPER does not hold the scripts stored only in your app and cannot access or erase them remotely. The retention and deletion section explains how you can remove that content. For requests concerning information OPEXPER does hold, use the contact route in the section above.
You may raise a concern with your local data protection authority. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

10. Children’s privacy

Nextpoint does not require users to provide their age or create an account. The current app has no feature that sends a child’s script or reading activity to OPEXPER. A parent or guardian should supervise use where appropriate, including any external file or backup services.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when Nextpoint’s information handling changes and revise the date above. If new functionality requires permissions or consent, those choices will be presented where required before the relevant processing begins. Continued use is not treated as consent to unrelated data processing.
